Sharon discovered a passion for art in 1993 while pursuing a degree in Visual Arts at Cape Cod Community College. She has also studied abroad in Ireland and France and is currently pursuing a full time career in art.
As an artist, rhythm and harmony are integral fibers of the fabric of life which Sharon strives to translate to her work as she observes and records her everyday surroundings. While pen and ink have dominated her choice of media for drawing and calligraphy, Sharon has also worked with pastels, colored pencil, acrylic and oil. Her current focus is watercolor. She is a member of the Chatham Creative Arts Center.
Sharon and her husband, Tom, continue to reside in Chatham, Massachusetts, where they owned and operated the Old Harbor Inn for nine years before retiring in 1996. As an accomplished instrumentalist she enjoys playing the piano and cello and is a member of the Chatham Band where she plays the Baritone Horn.
